Fake Crab - Don't Judge Me!!

Some think fake crab is disgusting, others like me, love it. Fake crab is a Weight Watchers dieter's dream food. A half cup is only 1 to 2 measly points. It's low in fat and calories and high in protein. If you can stomach the taste ( I love it) then I recommend adding it to your WW daily eating regimen.
What the hell is actually in imitation crab you ask? Well, here you go -


INGREDIENTS: Alaska Pollock, water, wheat starch, sugar, contains 2% or less of: snow crab meat, sorbitol, natural and Artificial crab flavoring (swimming crab extract, snow crab extract, water, hydrolyzed soy protein, ethyl alcohol, salt, glycerine, maltodextrin, sugar, disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate, propylene glycol), mirin wine (sake, sugar, salt, water, yeast extract), potassium chloride, salt, sodium tripolyphosphate, pollock oil, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, color added, egg whites, sodium citrate, modified corn starch, lycopene, soy lecithin, paprika oleoresin.
CONTAINS: FISH (ALASKA POLLOCK), WHEAT, 
CRUSTACEAN SHELLFISH (SNOW CRAB, SWIMMING CRAB), SOY, EGG.

Bobby Flay's Roasted Shrimp & Chile Cocktail Sauce

Each Serving is 5 points.

  • plum tomatoes, cored and halved
  • garlic cloves, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, divided
  • chipotle chile canned in adobo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish, drained
  • Juice and zest of 1 fresh lime
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 pound large shimp, peeled and deveined

1. Preheat oven to 425°. Combine tomatoes, garlic, and 1 tablespoon olive oil on a baking sheet; toss well. Sprinkle with half of the salt and pepper. Roast until tomatoes are completely softened and garlic is golden brown (about 25 minutes). Transfer mixture to food processor. Add chipotle, horseradish, lime juice, and lime zest; process until smooth. Add honey and cilantro; pulse 2-3 times or until combined.
2. On a separate baking sheet, combine shrimp and remaining olive oil; toss well. Sprinkle with remaining salt and pepper. Roast until golden and just cooked through, turning once (about 8 minutes). Place shrimp in individual glasses; serve with sauce.

5 Point White Bean and Kale soup

This recipe should add up to 5 points per serving. 5 cups of Low fat broth is 4 points, oil 3 points, 3 links of Amy's brand italian chicken sausage 8 points, 1 cup of beans 4 points. Divide that by four and you get 5 points per serving.  
Despite being low in both calories and fat, this soup fills you up thanks to the hearty beans and greens. And those red pepper flakes? Don’t leave ‘em out—they give the soup the perfect hint of heat.
White Bean and Kale Soup
 
Serves 4
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red-pepper flakes
  • 1 can white beans
  • 5½ cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 bunch kale, stemmed and torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 ounces spicy chicken sausage, cut into bite-sized pieces
Instructions
  1. In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and red-pepper flakes; cook until fragrant, approximately 1 minute.
  2. Add white beans and broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until 5 minutes.
  3. Puree half the soup in a blender and return to the pot. Add kale and sausage. Simmer until kale is wilted, approximately 10 minutes.

Jessica Simpson Teams With Jennifer Hudson in New Weight Watchers Ad




Jessica Simpson’s latest Weight Watchers commercial teams her up with another famous singer who shed a miraculous amount of pounds on the program: Jennifer Hudson.
Simpson and Hudson tout the benefits of Weight Watchers in the latest “Expect Amazing” ad, posted onYouTube today and debuting on TV Thursday. “I naturally became a healthier me,” says Hudson, who went from a size 16 to a size 6 in 2010, when she was Weight Watchers’ celebrity spokesperson. Simpson, who took on that role in May and lost more than 50 pounds, says “I amazed myself.”

Fiber One Honey Squares just 3 small points

This cereal tastes delicious and it's a great way to start your day. 1/2 cup of skim milk and 3/4 cup of Fiber One Honey Squares is only 3 points. It's packed with 10g of fiber per serving which helps keep you full all morning. I leave a box at work and eat it dry if I'm craving something sweet.

Nature Valley Thins just 2 points


When you're craving sweets these are a great option. Sweet, crunchy, chocolatey and only 2 points. They're also available in peanut butter flavor. Personally, I much prefer the chocolate.

Amy's Palak Paneer only 8 points


If you don't like Indian food skip this post. If you do then read on.

If you're not familiar with Amy's it's a delicious line of healthy frozen vegetarian food. Amy's food not only tastes great it's also good for you. The Palak Paneer is terrific and it's only 8 WW points. I sometimes add 2 TBLS of 0% fat greek yogurt. It adds roughly a point for a total of 9 points. The Palak Paneer s one of Amy's lower calorie options though they do now make a light line of foods.

Lean Cuisine Chicken Parm


Lean Cuisine is a go to option for your Weight Watchers diet. Of all the LC meals 
I've tasted Chicken Parmesan is the best. Other people must feel the same because my supermarket is always running low. It's substantial, it'll fill you up and it tastes somewhat decent. Hey, it's not Mario Batali Italian food but it'll do. Sometimes I sprinkle a TBL of parmesan on top to add a little flavor. It's a total of 8 points. Enjoy.

1 Point Cheese Sticks


All light cheese sticks are 1 point. Full fat cheese sticks are usually 2 points. 
They're a good source of protein and they help stave off hunger. The two brands 
I buy most often are Lucerne and Sargento. Personally I prefer the taste of Lucerne
brand sticks. They have milkier, richer mozzarella taste than Sargento.

When it comes to hunger killing, stomach filling low point foods Chobani Greek yogurt is the absolute king. A single Chobani is packed with tons of protein and it's only 3 tiny points.
